WordPress 2.0.6 Released!
2 minutes ago I checked my feed and saw that JohnTP post that WordPress released a new version (2.0.6) unfortunately, I couldn’t enter John`s Blog! so I saw the same article in ConnetctedInternet…I`m not surprised since I read a lot that there will be a release for some fixes, and here it`s.
All the information are written in WordPress blog. Matt said that this release include important security fix and it`s recommended that you upgrade.
Here’s what’s new:
- The aforementioned security fixes.
- HTML quicktags now work in Safari browsers.
- Comments are filtered to prevent them from messing up your blog layout.
- Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups.
The real important news that this will be the last release in 2.0 line.
As a side note, this is probably our last release before 2.1 is out, which will be our first major feature release in quite a while. 2.1 just entered beta stage, so if you’re interested in helping out with that process consider joining our beta group. As a reminder, if you’re a plugin or theme author you should check your code to make sure it’s compatible with 2.1 before the release.
Day-by-day WordPress is getting better and better, it`s just like watching Messi or C.Ronaldo playing, knowing that they`re impressive and they`ll continue like that!
(Excuse me for mentioning this example..I had FootBall issues
)
