Warning:Enblogopedia Is Getting Naked On April The 5th!

naked day
CSS Naked Day will be this Thursday(April 5th 2007), in this day sites that are interested will take off their CSS. I couldn’t find better words to describe the event than QuickOnlineTips:

The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards which includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, and a good hierarchy structure. It’s time to show off your . This is a test for your html structure without CSS.

There are several plugins that help you getting naked in this day, one to mention is Aja`s CSS Naked Day plugin. It`ll strip off XML/HTML stylesheet references, embedded stylesheets and inline styles—all without editing your template!

Note That you may want to inform your readers why your blog looks weired for doing this, just add this code to your header just after the <body> tag:

<?php if (is_naked_day()) { ?>
<h3>What happened to the design?</h3>
<p>To know more about why styles are disabled on this website

Ok, I want to contribute with CSS Naked Day and remove all my CSS from my site but..

    Note That:This Extension is a must for WebMasters!
  2. If you are using any plugin that will do the job for you. Change your Computer Date temporarily to 5/4 and check your blog.

These are some of the ways you can check your site naked with!

    Thanks for plugging my plugin!

    But, I have to say, you really don’t need to have the Web Developer Toolbar installed to instantly remove the style sheets off of your site to test your pages when you are using Firefox [though having the toolbar is good, too]. Just go the the View menu, then Page Style, and select No Style. :)

    And, changing your computer’s date to April 5 won’t do the trick unless your computer is your Web server. All (AFAIK) server-side scripts for this event rely on the Web server’s time where your blog is hosted. :)

    Sorry ’bout that. Maybe my plugin’s fault. I’ve revised it (version 1.1.2) so it would be less error prone (i.e., deleting untargetted elemets or text ). RegEx somehow is difficult if you don’t know how other people code their templates.

    lol that`s ok, it`s not your fault. The problem is that I have a large ad block floated to the left in most of my posts, so it disappeared with all the content beside it :)
