Upgraded Successfully To WordPress 2.2
After two hours of struggling(as usual!) I upgraded my blog successfully To WordPress 2.2. Hopefully most of my plugins worked just fine and with some modification the comment quicktags plugin is now working
I really had a hard time deactivating all my plugins(this problem has been solved with the new feature “Deactivate All Plugins”), but this is a must and I wasn’t going to risk of my blog for saving couple of minutes and you really don’t need to do that…why?
Well let Tan from Blogopreneur tells you why. What you can learn from Tan’s mistake is really simple…and Tan outlines it by two words…Follow The Instructions!
Also you may want to see if your plugin/s is compatible with the new WP release, this would saves you time trying it your self!
One last note, this is a major release and you need to delete most of your previous WordPress installation files!
Good luck with your upgrade.

I’m thinking about upgrading my site tonight… any pointers?
Well, good luck just remember these trivial steps:
1-BACKUP YOUR BLOG!
2-DEACTIVATE all your plugins(active them one-by-one after upgrading and test ur blog each time you activate a plugin)
3-DELETE all files mentioned in WP installation page.
This is a quick but “a must” tips that you should take care of!
sorry to hear about the tough times!
I also upgraded to WP 2.2 week back and for a luck it was my first time upgrade and I didn’t made any mistake
